Why is the brand called YVINE DESIGN?

 

Yvine Design is a name that began to take shape as an idea back in 2021 in the United States, when I was working on various creative projects.

Even then I wanted to create something that would bring together creativity, beauty, naturalness, practicality and meaning.

At some point one English word stayed with me in a special way: divine .

I especially loved the way it sounded: “ivain disain”.

It felt soft, beautiful and easy to remember. At the same time, the word divine meant much more to me than simply something lovely or special. Somehow it was also connected with the rhythm of life itself, with coincidences and with the right timing.

That is how the name slowly began to take shape: YVINE DESIGN.

Divine timing — everything has its time

I have always noticed that a surprising number of things in life happen at just the right moment.

In English there is an expression for this: divine timing — or simply the right time.

Sometimes it shows in very small, everyday situations.

You think of someone you haven’t spoken to for a long time, and a little later they call.

You meet someone at the right moment whose thought, experience or advice later turns out to be exactly what you needed.

Or you look back years later on a difficult period and only then understand what it taught you or which direction it led you in.

The meaning of some things is clear at once; of others, only much later.

And perhaps we don’t have to understand everything in the same moment.

Sometimes it is enough simply to know that everything may have its time.

Why YVINE?

I didn’t want to use just the word Divine.

The Y at the start of the name comes from my own name and adds a small personal touch — a modest part of myself.

And so YVINE was born.

It keeps divine’s sound and meaning, yet at the same time it is a name entirely of its own.

It was also important to me that the name would not tie my work to a single field, language or place. Under this name the idea can develop freely and grow with time.

A name that reminds me to give my best

For me, the word divine also carries a certain reverence.

When a name holds the idea of something divine, pure and good, it naturally makes you want to give your best.

Not to make something just to get it done, but to create thoughtfully, honestly and with heart.

In that sense YVINE DESIGN carries a small promise for me:

if I create or offer something, then as well, as purely and as truly as I can.

That doesn’t mean perfection.

Handcraft and creative work don’t always have to be perfect. It is often the small differences and a person’s own hand that give them their charm.

What matters more is that what is made has meaning, quality and a real human touch.

Original, natural and meaningful

At the heart of YVINE DESIGN is a wish to create and share things that feel genuine and natural.

I am drawn to natural materials, plants, natural pigments, handcraft and old techniques that have stood the test of time.

And to practical knowledge and skills that you can really use in everyday life.

That is why, for me, YVINE DESIGN doesn’t mean only design or beautiful objects.

Under this name there can be art, handcraft, henna art, natural pigments, creative workshops, lessons, guides and all kinds of ideas that give people a chance to create something themselves.

One important principle is to choose, wherever possible, a pure, natural solution with as little synthetic material as possible — or none at all.

If we talk about natural henna, it should really be natural henna.

If we use natural pigments, it matters to know where the colour comes from and how it was made.

If something is made by hand, it should keep the touch of the person who made it.

And if I share a technique or a lesson, it should be of real use to people.

For me all of this fits very well with the idea that the word divine carries — something pure, valuable, natural and good.

Beauty doesn’t have to be only beautiful

I especially love work that has a meaning or a use in addition to its beauty.

Something can be beautiful and practical at the same time.

Something can be decorative and at the same time teach us a new skill.

And sometimes a very simple creative activity can make a whole day feel better.

Painting, drawing with henna, making a natural pigment or simply creating something with your own hands gives you a chance to step out of the everyday pace for a while.

That has its value too.

YVINE as a story that keeps growing

I don’t see YVINE DESIGN as something completely finished or final.

It can grow together with ideas, experiences, knowledge and creativity.

2021. Above all, there was a name and an idea.

Over time new projects, techniques, workshops and ideas have gathered around it.

And there will surely be much more that I can’t even imagine yet.

Perhaps that is part of the whole idea of YVINE.

You don’t have to know everything in advance or plan it all to the end.

Sometimes the next step is enough, along with the trust that the right ideas, people and opportunities come into our lives when it is their time.

Or, as the thought behind the birth of this name says:

divine timing.

Everything has its time.

And perhaps YVINE DESIGN too was born just when the time was right.
